Flipkart, Meesho & Amazon Label Sizes in mm

Updated 25 August 2026 6 min read

A 4×6 thermal shipping label is 101.6 × 152.4 mm. That is the roll size almost every Indian seller buys, and it is what Flipkart, Meesho and Amazon labels get printed onto. The catch is that none of those marketplaces hands you a 4×6 file. They give you an A4 PDF (210 × 297 mm) with the label sitting inside it, so the number you actually need is the size of the label block on that page, not the size of the page.

The sizes, in one table

What Inches Millimetres PDF points
Standard thermal roll 4 × 6 101.6 × 152.4 288 × 432
Smaller thermal roll 3 × 5 76.2 × 127 216 × 360
Square roll 4 × 4 101.6 × 101.6 288 × 288
A4 sheet 8.27 × 11.69 210 × 297 595 × 842

PDF points are the unit label files are actually measured in. There are 72 points to an inch, so 288 pt is exactly 4 inches. If you ever open a label PDF in a reader that reports point dimensions, this is how to translate it.

How big is the Flipkart label itself?

The Flipkart shipping label occupies a window of 216 × 360 points on the A4 page, which is exactly 3 × 5 inches (76.2 × 127 mm). We measured that from real Flipkart seller-panel PDFs while building our cropper, and it is the same window on every label we have processed.

Two things follow from it.

First, a Flipkart label is natively 3×5, not 4×6. When you print it on 4×6 stock it gets scaled up to fill the roll. That is fine, because it is a vector PDF and scaling does not blur it, but it explains why the printed label sometimes looks slightly stretched compared to the on-screen preview.

Second, the label sits at a fixed offset inside the page rather than in a corner. Cropping "the top-left quarter" of the A4 will miss it. That is why generic PDF croppers cut Flipkart labels badly and why the barcode ends up clipped.

How big is the Meesho label?

Meesho is laid out differently. A raw Meesho page is A4 portrait carrying one order, and the shipping-label card sits landscape across the top, roughly 206 × 120 mm, with the tax invoice printed underneath it on the same sheet.

Because that card is landscape and a 4×6 roll is portrait, it has to be rotated before printing. Send the A4 straight to a thermal printer and you get the whole sheet shrunk onto one label, with the card reduced to a strip about a third of its proper size.

Meesho sellers also ask about 4×4. That size exists because the label card and the tax invoice together are close to square, so 4×4 lets you keep both on one sticker instead of splitting them across two.

What about Amazon?

Amazon is the one marketplace with no single answer, so be careful with any page that gives you one. What you get depends on the channel:

  • Seller Central A4 puts one shipping label and a packing slip on the sheet.
  • Easyship ships 2-in-1 and 4-in-1 sheets, with two or four labels tiled onto a single A4.

A 4-in-1 sheet has to be split into four separate labels before it will print correctly on a roll. Cropping it as one block gives you four tiny labels on one sticker.

Printing 4×6 labels on an A4 sheet instead

If you do not own a thermal printer yet, you can put four labels on one A4 page and cut them. Our sheet layout uses 100 × 145 mm per label in a 2 × 2 grid, with a 3.5 mm top margin and 3 mm side margins.

That is very slightly smaller than a true 4×6 (101.6 × 152.4 mm), which is deliberate. Home and office printers cannot print to the edge of a sheet, so a full-size 4×6 grid would run into the unprintable margin and clip the last row.

Which size should you buy?

Buy 4×6 (101.6 × 152.4 mm) unless you have a specific reason not to. It is the default for Indian courier labels, every marketplace label fits it after cropping, and it is the easiest roll size to source.

Pick 3×5 only if you already own 3×5 stock, and 4×4 only if you want the Meesho label and invoice on a single square sticker.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What size is a Flipkart shipping label in mm?+

The label block on Flipkart's A4 PDF is 76.2 × 127 mm (3 × 5 inches, or 216 × 360 PDF points). The A4 page it arrives on is 210 × 297 mm, but the label itself is only that 3×5 window.

What is the correct Meesho label print size?+

Print Meesho labels on 4×6 (101.6 × 152.4 mm) stock. The shipping-label card on the raw A4 is landscape at roughly 206 × 120 mm, so it needs to be cropped and rotated upright before it fills a 4×6 roll properly.

Is 4×6 the same as 100 × 150 mm?+

Not exactly. 4 × 6 inches is 101.6 × 152.4 mm. Rolls sold as "100 × 150 mm" are about 1.6 mm narrower and 2.4 mm shorter. The difference is small enough that labels print fine on either, and Indian sellers use both terms for the same product.

Why does my label print tiny on a thermal printer?+

Because the printer received the full A4 page and scaled it down to fit a 4×6 label. Crop the label out of the A4 first, then print at 100% scale rather than "fit to page".

Can I print a 3×5 label on 4×6 stock?+

Yes. The label scales up to fill the roll, and since these are vector PDFs it stays sharp. You will have a slightly different aspect ratio, so expect a small amount of blank space or stretch depending on how your tool fits it.
