Flipkart Shipping Label: crop, clean and print in seconds

The label does not sit in a corner of the page. It starts about 189 points from the left edge and 459 points up from the bottom, with the tax invoice below it and wide margins around both.

Crop "the top-left quarter" and you miss it. Most general-purpose PDF croppers ask you to drag a box once and then apply it to every page, which works until Flipkart shifts a row and your box starts clipping the Ekart barcode. EditLabel targets that window directly, so every order in the batch lands in the same place.

The barcode the courier scans at pickup is the part that actually costs you when it goes wrong. A label that is scaled down, clipped at the edge, or cropped tight against the bars will fail the handheld scanner, and a failed scan shows up as a pickup failure against your Ready-to-Dispatch record.

Two things protect it. Crop with enough clear space around the bars, called the quiet zone, and print at 100% scale rather than "fit to page". EditLabel handles the first. The second is a setting in your print dialog that resets more often than you would expect.

Flipkart lets you download labels for many orders as one PDF, and that is the file to use. Drop the whole thing in and every order is cropped, stamped and merged into a single print-ready file, rather than opening one order at a time.

Your SKU and an optional master code go onto each label with the quantity, written as x3 for a three-unit order. Packers stop reading the product description and start reading one code, which is where most of the picking time goes.
